This link is to the .wmv file at YouTube where I compiled signing the titles in ASL with art work of the mandalas and hand-made scrolls produced by hearing female college students on the myth. This video is a sneak peek at what’s on the chapter mandalas, shown only after their chapter in ASL is all uploaded. Enjoy it and embrace the final message of the clip.
The myth has 12 mandalas to represent the “energies” behind each chapter. Each chapter has its own painted wooden disc; on one side as the title mandala and the other side as the chapter mandala.
The title mandala is the title in English text with the specifically designed lettering and coloring schemes.
The chapter mandala is a circular painting reflecting the “energy” behind each chapter.
All of the 12 title mandalas of the Deaf Child myth will be uploaded for all to view. But the chapter mandalas can be viewed AFTER all the slivers of ASL videoclips of that certain chapter have been uploaded.
Here, in English text, the mythology will be introduced by showing its table of content below, the future categories of blogposts on this site, which will give you a glimmer into what the myth will be about.

Since the myth, when fully told, can run several hours. Viewing the myth in its entirety at one sitting can be taxing. The myth has been told for the past 18 years. It can be told in one sentence up to some 7 hours long. The one sentence is this - the myth is about HOW a deaf child is raised by a god across a span of time - from our past into our immediate present and into our murky future. A roughly one hour version was told at deaf state schools, mainstreaming programs, several conferences, and at several deaf-expos all over America. Some two hours long versions (in two parts as storytelling and discussion sessions) were done. An almost four hours long were recorded in deaf sites at Europe and America onto the old VHS technology. Now with the vlog technology, this miraculous story of my/our deaf history/experience gets a new audience - the wonderful world-wide-web of dDeaf and hearing people all over.
I look forward riding on the wings of VisMa with my hands signing the story of the Deaf Child, who is within y0U . . . .
Hello everybody.
This videoblogsite is for anyone who is interested in viewing, studying, and learning more about an original personal mythology based on the history of the dDeaf experience on earth. The myth, here, will be delivered in its’ original vehicle, American Sign Language. The written English translation, the deaf historical explanations, and the mythological symbols discussion will not be available here, for now.
The Deaf Child myth has 12 chapters, each chapter divided into many parts. This myth in ASL will run for more than 4 hours. Each videoclip will have a label, for example, 9.11.1. This means the 11th part of chapter 9 in its first version. The first number represents the number of the chapter, the second number represents the part of the chapter (the 11th part), and the third digit represents the version. 4.8.3 means the 8th part of 4th chapter revised the third time.
You are very much welcome to give comments or questions for each videoclip. I will respond to your questions.
Please do come back to check if the first clip is uploaded. I am now doing all the preparation for the grand unveiling of the Deaf Child to the whole wide web world. The uploading of each videoclip will continue for several months until the whole myth is all signed (told)!
May VisMa Be With You . . .
