In a nutshell, the Deaf Child mythology is a story about a "god" raising a deaf child throughout the span of OUR time. It is also a story of the "deafhood" development (growth/history) of the Deaf Child (deaf experience/deaf community/deaf culture) who also symbolizes the general deafhood in each deaf person on earth. This long story is about the inner deaf child within us all.
For those of you who are here for the first time, it is strongly recommended that you begin viewing this mythology with the first clip. Please click on the "01.01 . . . In the Beginning" in the middle column. Enjoy your journey into a mythology of deaf history, deaf culture, deaf community, and the deaf experience.
This is a long epic in American Sign Language (ASL) which totals to over 12 hours long. Do view a couple of videoclips in succession. pause, and come back for the next ones.
