Happy Holidays from Sacramento, CA…

Here are the pictures of our house filled with thousands of Santas…  ( NOEL is an exception because the youngest child’s middle name is Noel… He was born on the 23rd of December )…  Ginny Szpakowski, the children’s mother, started collecting the Santas in 1967 after her first child was born…  At first, she decorated about everything related to Christmas and one of her friends told her that she did the Santas mostly…  She agreed and gave away the rest except for the Santas…  Hence, she continues collecting them for her hobby…  It takes about one month to set up annually, right after Thanksgiving Day…

In previous post, it included the video that was aired LIVE by Sacramento, CA’s CBS13.com on December 21, 2006 after we won the local homeowners association’s Santa’s Choice Award for the marvelous decoration filled with Santas…  Unfortunately, we did not win another award for this year…  Guess it was for another house on this block to deserve its turn to win…  :)

UPDATE:  Yea, we found that house two streets away…  It looks nice and deserves the award as well…

     Enjoy the pictures…

Happy Holidays from the Snider, Szpakowski, Cornish, and Nelson Families

A Silent Family Earns A Spirited Award

A local family has never heard sleigh bells ring or church bells chime, their spirit is silent, but their sights are incredible…

http://www.cbs13.com/video/?id=15322@kovr.dayport.com

The video was aired LIVE by Sacramento, CA’s CBS13.com on December 21, 2006…  After the people from the local homeowners association came to our house and surprised us with the Santa’s Choice Award for the marvelous decoration filled with Santas only on the front yard and porch, we invited them indoors to show more Santas…  They were astonished and called the CBS13 news station…  The news reporter and cameraman came the next day to do the news LIVE after they taped and edited…  I and Ms. Ginny Szpakowski would like to share this video and some pictures with you all…  As for this month, we hope to post another video and pictures in a couple of weeks…  Stay tuned…

     Happy Holidays :)

~Mark
