Oh no another similar Gallaudet University Protest. Evidently. Gallaudet University and recent OSD protest sent clear messages that we will not tolerance any attitudinal barriers such as paternalistic, systemic discrimination and institutional audism. Historically, Deaf people have been and currently are victims of audism. Racism and management by intimidation that has adverse effects on the morale of deaf students, teachers of the deaf, educational personnel, and administration in educational system of the deaf across North America.
The impact of management by intimidation on human capital in the Gallaudet Administration and Oregon School for the Deaf Administration are extremenely valuable lesson that can have implications and lessons in many workplaces and education placements across North America. The message is that–especially with administrations of education of the deaf -that audism, racism and management by fear will no longer be tolerated.
