At least the awareness of the crisis is that matter the most
Rumor mill has it that the Legislative is now investigating the matter.

Remember that all legislators are politicians first! They don’t have any authority over the Dept of Education, except to provide funds (or refuse to provide funds). When legislators start to ask questions, though, the Dept of Education will definitely investigate themselves, but when the State Superintendent was part of the decision to fire Ms Mulholland, he will have to blame someone else.
Keep up the great work… The pressure must continue until satisfactory results are received..

Actually the Legislative can shut down entire Dept of Education in this state, leaving only the state superintendent’s position because only this position is elective in that state.
The Legislative can remove OSD/OSB from ODE’s control easily as they have done in past, not once but 3 times, changing the goverance of OSD/OSB.
At a time the Board of Trustees was over 50 years, making up of the Governor, the Secretary of State and the State Treasurer. Then the governance was placed under a new board named Special Programs Board which lasted 2 years then ODE. Not sure who governed prior to that 50 years period era. These three goverances were during my time, 1969-1972.
After the goverance was transferred to ODE, the title of school superintendent was changed to school director in 1972.
