I am still reeling from the announcement regarding the removal of Jane Mulholland as assistant superintendent of the Oregon State School for the Deaf.
Jane and I, as principal of the Middle school, worked together at the Arizona School for the Deaf and the Blind. She was most meticulous and yet very creative. I challenge you to find someone like her.
If there is anything I can do to get Mr. Gensese to rehire her, I will -to the point of flying out from Northern Virginia where I currently reside.

Should read “Director”, not assistant superintendent.

Rest assured, the role of “assistant superintendent” is the same as that of “director.” :)

Jean,
I checked with my fellows in Oregon, they said it isn’t same!
At one time there were state superintendent, associate superintendent, school superintendent and assistant superintendent. Titles changed in 1972 (?) during my time, to state superintendent (that’s Susan Castillo), associate superintendent (that’s Ed Dennis, the know-nothing), Director (that’s Jane Mulholland) and Assistant Director.
After I graduated and left the state, the assistant director’s title apparently vanished or replaced with different title.
