I was in the middle of a phone call and figured I’d finish the call and get to the station to catch Ladder 18 (L18). It took longer than I expected and I missed the truck but caught the fire police truck to the scene.
We arrived and I checked in with the chauffer on Ladder 18 and he had me taking care of setting up ventilation via fans. There was heavy smoke inside the facility due to cardboard boxes in a compacter on fire. Due to the compacter, it took a long time to get the fire knocked down and start overhauling.
After the fire was knocked down, I assisted with overhaul for a while before I had to leave to deal with some work matters. If pics go online, I’ll link to them here.
