Someone uploaded Through Deaf Eyes (with the captions turned on) to GoogleVideo! I’ve just safely downloaded the little sucker to my laptop at 909M — since I suspect it will get yanked shortly for copyright violation or somesuch. (NB to you nasty DRM folks - I have preordered the DVD so your dirty little pockets will be suitably lined, tyvmngaabse.)
But YES!! I can’t wait to watch it! AAAAAAND! It is an avi file which means it’s dead easy for me to convert into an ipod format to transfer there
of course then I won’t be able to read the captions without a microscope probably…
Oh yes, here’s the link… [Edit: don't bother, it's gone now...]
So now I will finally post a review, though probably not in time for DeafRead’s TDE review competition
Ah well…

How do you download it?
Sign me clueless
You can make it on time for DeafRead’s TDE review competition! You have until TOMORROW by 12 midnight PST to post your review, critique and response about this!
Hurry!

Mishka: Look on the right side, there’s a nice big DOWNLOAD button right there
Don’t feel bad, I missed it at first too!
Thanks for the info! I’m going to forward it to my family who have missed the show.
First download the google video player (it is right there below “download video), install it. (easiest way is to download it to desktop, that way you know where it is and just click on it to install it)
Then download the “through deaf eye” video (put it where you remember where it is such as “my video” or whatever.
Then when you click on that video, google player will automatically come on and play that video. It has captions!
Not sure how it works for ipod.
Thanks again!!!!
To be clear: click download first, then you will see two things below it. First is download video second is to download the google video player.
I checked google video policy and it seems to be legal for this video or any google video that is offered for free or cost from Google website. You can click on the policy and read it for yourself. Google will check for copyright when applicable.
The file downloaded is an AVI file which any divx or xvid compatible player can deal with. Windows Media Player can handle it, but the dvix player is free and found over here. There are Mac equivs too and if you run linux, you probably already know as much about avi as I do
