OK, I want to highlight a vlog that I absolutely adore!

In this day and age of vlogs, I’ve been largely shut out. To begin with go here pick out a vlog at random and just see how long it takes to find one that’s captioned. Ironically enough, neither can I make heads or tails of this vlog or this one or this one. They all look substantially interesting, but I haven’t a clue what exactly is said. In fact, there’s many Deaf arguing that subtitles shouldn’t be a big consideration in ASL vlogs. Makes me want to scream, I tell you.

But this guy gets it right! And while he talks about some deaf issues, which I think is perfectly reasonable, heck I do too, his vlogs are largely reviews of shows and such — I liked his review of Jericho, and I’m going to try and get copies of it to watch now.

Yay!

In particular, I’m very pleased that Google has made it so easy to subtitle videos AND that they brought out YouTube, so that should be added to YouTube soon as well. YES!
