Tayler,… thanks for deleting my comment on your blog
Tayler had a blog about the 26 people arrested related to VRS and I made a comment and was deleted. I understand that this is a serious issue about cheating the government and wanted to also express my concern how the Deaf community was CHEATED by the people that took away our rights of our sign language(ASL) and revamped our education according to their beliefs which is oral only method philosophy that failed thousands of Deaf people in our community since 1880 Milan.
Here is my comment that was rejected by Tayler that I wanted the public to know that there are other serious issue that many are dithering to speak up about this;
Everyone,
WE all have been screwed one time or another by many people from the government and on down to ordinary people.
But the ones that really screwed up the Deaf community are the ones that took our sign language away and changed our education are the people at 1880 Milan Conference.
No dollar amount can replace what 1880 Milan Conference and International Congress on Education for the Deaf(I.C.E.D.) did to us and if anyone of you want to talk or do something about the most heinous crime done to the Deaf community, that would be the 1880 Milan and Alexander Graham Bell’s promoting the banning the our rights of our sign language.
Please show your concern by attending I.C.E.D. at Vancouver, BC, Canada July 18 to 22, 2010.

All 26 people who were arrested are deaf or hard of hearing. They’re the ones who betrayed deaf people AND interpreters. Interpreters are hearing and they interpreted between deaf people and hearing people through VRS. They were cheated by these cheating VRS companies that didn’t pay them that much. What’s your point on this blog?

But you are wrong. It is the deaf people that are screwing the other deaf people. It has always been and will always be.
You just can’t see the forest for the trees. It is sad.
And how can you possibly know what exactly happened in 1880? Were you there? Did you have relative from the conference? You should let that past go and just focus on the here and now.

I agree what you said about deaf people that are screwing the other deaf people. It has always been and will always be.
And there are many hearing people that are screwing deaf people’s rights to natural visual language(ASL) and education, i.e. 1880 Milan Conference.
And Brian, your last questions, “And how can you possibly know what exactly happened in 1880? Were you there? Did you have relative from the conference? You should let that past go and just focus on the here and now.”
This shows that you have no idea of anything about 1880 Milan Conference and you need to do your homework. And also asking me this question, “Did you have relative from the conference?” really tells me more about you which I pity you.

Yes, I don’t see my comment being offensive in any way but yet it was deleted by Tayler.
Now I respect anyone deleting other people’s comment if it’s offensive or off the point or using pseudo name such as Anon or having fake email addresses.
And also with comments from others saying that it is wrong for deaf people to hurt other deaf people but seems that it is alright for hearing people to hurt deaf people such as most hearing people that dominating Deaf education and what language to use, i.e., 1880 Milan Conference and AGBell with its associates marginalizing American Sign Language.
I just can’t understand why these idiotic, feeble minded deaf people wanting us to accept their continuing oppressive attitudes and to forget their past heinous “crime” that destroyed our rights to natural language, American Sign Language and education.
Black Culture, Gay Culture, Women Culture have fought for their rights and had many supporting their cause that rectified many problems but The Deaf Culture is still not being recognized of their rights because too many deaf people accepted themselves too weak and rather let the hearing dominate how deaf people should be.

Brian L. Mayes, what the fuck? There are tons of evidence coming from Deaf individuals, groups and schools which already documented the devastating effects by AG Bell’s use of Milan 1880 Conference.
You’re denying the piece of deaf history which is quite amusing, to say the least.
