I would say 20 minutes a day during speech. My son benefits greatly from AVT and I fought for the public school district to provide him a SLP trained in AVT and won. Kids with CI DO BENEFT from AVT. My son uses ASL with me in the home and with his deaf friends. Going aganist AVT shows how ignorant we are and that's embarrassing.
